That they are suffering from 'Head Up Arse Syndrome'

It is a debilitating mental illness, that sadly in some cases has no cure.

If you come across a sufferer I recommend hitting them with a wet fish...It wont help them, but it may make you feel better.

My junior high school had banned the books from school. The principal was also stupid enough to have the motto, "dancing leads to s.e.x" (hence, we had no school dances). They ban a book based on fantasy, yet they live their lives according to the bible (ironic?)

They need to chill out. Banning literature doesn't turn people (especially kids) off from it, it makes it more alluring because of the "forbidden fruit" situation. Besides, I don't believe in banning ANY books. How would the same people feel if the Bible, the Quoran, or any other holy texts were banned? Just because non-religious people find them offensive? Banning literature doesn't protect anyone and harms everyone.

I don't see the merit in banning any form of literature, even Harry Potter. It's a fun read for children and younger teens and in my eyes harms no one. If someone wants to ban Harry Potter then they should have a VERY good reason, if they don't then they can keep their mouth shut.

I went to a PTA meeting when the Potter books just came out. A woman was leading a crusade to get them banned from the school library. After listening to her lengthy complaints and some debate...someone finally asked her if she had even read the book. Her answer was "no." So, I think they are idiots.

The thought is always the same, "what an weirdo!" XD
Harry Potter is a fairytale book for kids! That's like if someone wanted to ban "Sleeping Beauty" or "Snow White". It's silly! What's next? Will the Twilight series be banned from children too, because it features vampires, creatures of the damned? What about Lord Of The Rings? XD

Anyone who is threatened by Harry Potter either hasn't read the books or is so parochial in their thinking that "**** and Jane at the Seashore" would threaten them.

Harry, his stories and his troops are about growing up, facing obstacles and dangers, but doing it with support, and with friends. It's about facing those dangers and sometimes winning and sometimes losing but keeping on ANYWAY. The books are not simplistic, which is good, because neither is life, and I can think of far worse role models than the son of James and Lily Potter ... and for that matter, Hermione, Ron, Albus Dumbledore, Minerva McGonagall ... and the guy who had the hardest role to play in the whole business. You may know him ... a certain Potions professor....

I think they need to read it and realize it's a perfectly fine series. Very creative. I think people have the right to read whatever they want. However since there are things that I wish I could ban I can't judge them illy. I believe that things that spread hate or sexism or racism should be banned. Harry Potter does neither of those things so it's people's choice to read it.

I definitely wouldn't think highly of them. They wouldn't be on my top 10 people at a dinner party. Mostly I would walk away and not give them energy from my rationed time.

I think they are ignorant, small minded, and likely christian. I think they are presumptuous and bigoted. I think they are cruel and scared. I think they are the bottom of the barrel when it comes to human beings. Grab some enlightenment retards!
