What do you think of people who correct people's answers to questions? Isn't the point variety?

Not if the answers are ob
jectively wrong. Many of the questions may be BS, whimsical, or just looking to see what the range of responses are. But it's hard to distinguish those from the ones looking for actual information. And for the ones that are, the point is not variety at all - unless the questioner is particularly unintelligent. Like (2)

Annoying unless there's a specific answer to that question.

I don't think the point is variety, is it? I thought it was more about effective communication, after all, if you have to read through something three times to try and get to grips with what the questioner is asking, then it's not worth the effort really. In effect, we may as well all write our questions in different languages, that way we would definately have variety, but not a lot of communication.

I don't mind being corrected if I am wrong. I will look it up and find out if I am truly the one who is wrong. Unless it is a matter of opinion. Then I just see what they have to say, and either agree or disagree, and then I move on to the next question.

The point of asking a question is usually to get the correct answer, not a wide variety of stupid answers.
