    It has alot of logic and reasoning to it. Until you live with someone, you don't really see their deficiencies or even your own. And sometimes you're not fully appreciated until you are dead; that is when people will come out of the woodwork and say nice praising things about you that they never took the time to tell you when you were alive.

    I think it's kind of rubbish... Knowing your defects comes from really having a good introspective look at yourself and having at least one good friend who will tell you the truth. As for the second...people often "airbrush" the truth when someone passes, preferring to remember the good rather than the actuality. Is what other people think that important? And if it is important, which opinions from which people count the most?

    The idea of death is really close to me at the moment - I've had five people close to me pass in 6 months, so I guess I'm really feeleing this. Sorry if I sound kind of harsh.
