I havn't hear that I have heard of blue babies.

Lucyintheskywithd iamonds	Posted Oct 25th, 2009 at 8:16AM Babies, often premature, given the antibacterial agent chloramphenicol (usually reserved for serious situations like meningitis), can become gray babies; doctors also call it gray syndrome. Babies lack the enzymes to handle this drug so it builds up in the baby's bloodstream and can cause the baby to have low blood pressure, become discolored (lips, nail beds, skin) needed to break down this drug. The treatment is often a whole body blood transfusion. Rated: +1Vote for this!
