What does it mean, if people say.. someone is "gifted"?

I guess it means they have been successful in applying their talents to benefit themselves & other people well. Successful you can call them.

buster103	Posted Nov 7th, 2009 at 1:14PM It generally refers to have been given a special talent or level of intelligence, through "God" or inherent genes from a previous generation of the family. It may apply to 'practical' as well as 'intellectual' skills. Hope this helps Rated: +3Vote for this!

They get sent to the gifted class a few times a week and are given more difficult work to do. Keeps them from getting bored in class. Rated: +2Vote for this!
booradley	Posted Nov 7th, 2009 at 1:19PM Usually, people mean that someone is extremely talented, intelligent, and/or has an exceptionally high IQ. Gifted is also a term used to refer to people who have an extra bundle of nerves at the base of their brain and those who have an exceptional level of creative or mathematic skills whether or not they have a high IQ.
