What does it mean to be an Evangelical Christian?

It means you have become a presumptuous spiritual bully that goes door to door telling everyone else they are believing the wrong things. Its akin to taking it as your personal mission to going door to door to tell people they 'look fat in those pants and should really wear corduroy instead'

Evangelicals started out simply trying to get the congragations from just sitting in their pews rotting away. Yes they are more motivated to share the word of God and to go on more missions. Sorry it is what the word of God has said to do, but to do it to all who would listen, not to beat people over the head with it. I know many on here who have had bad experiance with Christians and Evangelicals in particular, sorry. But I have had many people ask me question where I live and where I work about God and the Bible and I want to be able to answer their questions as best I can. I enjoy going overseas on mission trips and talking to other people about their beliefs and sharing mine. Just because we are more out spoken does not mean we are to be vilified by the likes of some on this site. And in my particular point of view some of you are the uneducated and closed minded ones, the ones who believe in foolish things and are filling your own heads with what ever fantasy of life you want, not based on realilty at all.

Evangelical is basically someone who has heard the 'good word' and want to spread it to EVERYBODY!

It means that they have a horrible life and they're unintelligent! So horribly ignorant that they have to believe in some sort of sentient being that never answers any of their questions or helps them in any way!

And yet, they still believe... It's amazing how stupid some people can be... here, this best describes it without the sarcasm

It is one type of protestants , a newer, seems to be mostly American branch. The 'born agains' basically... no idea why they would marry sooner, though, unless its to have sex?

You know it's so crazy. I'm Christian and I don't say sh*t to people. Now I'm commenting about elve response.. I'll bring up my opinion when asked that sometimes involves my faith cuz duh it's my belief and my life sort of evolves around it and it's like "UH OH IM PREACHING BRING OUT THE TORCHES GET THE NOOSE READY" its like wow dude really? I didn't know I was inviting you to church or had a bible in my hand. lol

If they go out and save people as you people are saying here,I was wondering if they could save me a couple of "loose women" for the weekend. You see,I'm haveing this party,and I'm a couple of girls short for the night,so I thought,maybe just a -------- Oh; never mind.

It means either that they are afraid God will burn them if they don't try to convert people, or that they love other people and are afraid god will burn them if they are not save. Thing is, God doesn't burn anyone. Duh. BE CHRIST, don't try to "follow" anyone.
