LEVEL 1 Naive: You are naive. You take things at face value and think that people are altogether like you. You sometimes are disappointed. <br />
LEVEL 2 Limited: A person hasn't given you any reason to NOT trust them. So, you give them trust within limits... like you wouldn't give them access to your bank account, but you don't expect them to treat you badly.<br />
LEVEL 3 Eyes open: You know the person's limitations. You trust their basic intent, but you know they may mess up in the right circumstances. <br />
LEVEL 4 Unmitigated: You know the person and know that under no circumstances would they meaningfully ever do you any harm. They aren't perfect, but you can be totally vulnerable with this person and they will treat that as a sacred thing.
To honestly believe that someone who has proven his/her worth to you and behaved in a trustworthy manner would not deliberately or knowingly hurt you or take advantage of you.
darkice said it most succinctly and accurately.
trust is very rare becasue you trust them with your life
You block out all the doubt and fear that you might have ba<x>sed on your experience with other people and you say to yourself..."This one is different"....and you project onto that person all your ideas of what a good and trustworthy person is like...and then you just have faith....you just believe, with all your heart, that it's true....and with a little sigh, you let go....
yes,,,darkice is right...it is to believe in someone....without doubt in that someone ...you just give that someone your time and sometimes your heart
its being matured...
