What does radiation treatments do to your bones?

Let's say a malignanct tumor in the throat is being treated with radiation therapy. What does the radiation do to the surrounding skeletal structure - i.e. jaws, teeth, sinuses?

degeneration of bone by damaging the blood supply to bone.

Bones gets brittle and the sinuses will go through a transformation during the treatment and eventually get back to where it was before the treatment.
