What does this mean?

"I don't want a lot of single women there because then it would bother me", what does it mean when a woman says this? Recently a friend of mine said this to me when I asked if a friend and her husband could bring a friend who is female as well, because she's new in town and doesn't really know a lot of people. The answer caught me off guard, but I don't know what to think of it. This is my roommate who said this and her fiance is fine with it, and I know she is too in the end, and I respect her since it's her party and really I wouldn't want anyone I don't know at my party, but if it happens, then so be it, but an answer like that caught me off guard. Especially since the party will be primarily guys and about 1/3 of them single. Most of the women there are already involved with someone at this party, or friends already. So any thoughts guys?? Now I feel like I should tell my friends not bring her along.

She has deep trust issues. You need to confront this and deal with it BEFORE you get married. DO NOT allow her to control you on this issue. If she can't get over it - you know she'll never stop manipulating the situations and constricting your social circle until you have few friends and never any females at all. Which of course is silly, but men and women CAN be friends without sex. It is a serious sign of anxiety due to abandonment issues when someone can't allow their partner to even be near a paranoid potential threat.

She's threatened by single women being around her fiance. She needs to trust her fiance and get over herself. "Single woman" does not always equal "home-wrecker."

Sounds like she needs to work on building trust in her relationship.

It sounds like, deep down, she has insecurities...and isn't comfortable with her fiance being around these single women....She better get a grip on that, or that relationship is in trouble.
