Are you sure you were dreaming?

There's a form of auditory hallucination that can occur just before you fall asleep or within a few hours of falling asleep. It usually sounds like a loud crash like books falling over or something breaking, but it can sometimes sound like voices or even someone yelling or a scream. It has a really weird name, but I'm not making it up. It's called "Exploding Head Syndrome". I had it happen to me once, it was pretty startling. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exploding_head_syndrome
