    1) If you fall in love with somebody, don't wait too long to tell them and don't be too subtle about it either -- they need to know, otherwise they will think you are not interested.
    2) If however they are not interested, instantly move on and forget about them. Do not waste your time trying to change their mind. Your time is spent better on other things and people, then.
    3) The longer you waited in 1) the harder the moving on part gets in 2), so keep that in mind!
