After the evidence is no longer needed for trail and there is no chance of an appeal on conviction, they are supposed to be destroyed. A lot probably are but there is a significant amount unaccounted for. Cops consider it "overtime". Money also goes missing and the Ontario provincial police are missing some confiscated autos as well.

Once a month they take it all and have a bake off. Mixing all sorts of drugs into the most delicious cakes, pies, cookies, and pastries. Then when everybody is good and messed up they all sit in a circle and air their grievances.
