U asked, accomplished against odds. Survival is required for any accomplishment. But, you're right, life shouldn't be just survival. The odds of just surviving are high tho. I love life and the struggle is worth it! I guess after survival, I would say Raising kids!

When I first got out of such close calls, I sure did appreciate life a lot more. But then I would slowly forget just how difficult these situations were for me yet reminded again. It's a weird process, and wore me down. I became cynical and developed a fatalistic approach to life. I'm working on this now. It's not easy, but I'm making progress. Thanks for asking. It reminds me to think about what I've been through.
