What have you done for God?

God created you nobly and all worlds for you to enjoy, so what have you done to show thankfulness to Him?

Nothing I can do will ever be enough to express thanks. I'd like to try though.. so every day, and every moment I try to include him in everything, go to with everything and do nothing without him. I guess if he gave me everything the best way to be grateful is to share it right back.

Try to help others as much as I can on a daily basis, whether it is giving some money to a homeless person on the street, donating food and clothing to a shelter, or doing my best to raise children that are not my own.

Nothing. He doesn't know just what he did in creating all of that. He has already had to face the consequences of his actions, but not as much as he should. It was a bad decision. I am not thankful, as I have nothing to be thankful to him for. Everything good in my life I have other people to thank for. I owe him nothing. Who says this life is such a gift anyway? So much stupidity is the result of his creating and then trying to steer his creations in a direction that is simply unnatural.

Nothing really, I think I tend to prefer being an atheist, because Atheism is so much a "Non Prophet"organisation. And let's be honest with ourselves. Going to a church, doesn't make you anymore a Christian than standing in a garage makes you a car.

You try telling this to my mother!

In the beginning the mystery went something like this:

"John darling, I was seduced last night by a guy who said to me he was an angel; he said his name was Gabriel and he was in spirit."

"Gawd, wait till I get that drunken geezer!"

"That was not his name darling, he said it was Gabriel!"

"Gawd, gawd, gawd!"

"Okay, if you insist dear, I'll call him God. He was such a nice guy!"

2 m later and some are still wondering who really seduced this married virgin. Her name was Mary.

The greatest mystery story ever told.

I talk to Him everyday, and try to listen more than I talk. And have faith that no matter what happens, it's nothing we can't handle.

Nothing...
I humbly ask for His guidance and do His Work threw me. I never seem to notice that much, but people around me do. Only after a week or so I can reflect on what has happened and I can conclude this wasn't entirely my own doing.

Why should I? I don't really think SUCH A MIGHTY OMNIPOWERFUL OMNIPRESENT BEING WOULD NEED WHATEVER. :)
So I won't get mislead.
IF God TRULY is THE MIGHTIEST OMNIPOTENT BEING - HE MOST DEFINITELY NEEDS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING :)
IF God NEEDS whatever - HE THEN MOST DEFINITELY IS NOT THE MIGHTIEST OMNIPRESENT BEING :) - only those THAT LACK SOMETHING - NEED SOMETHING :)
Can you REALLY NOT SEE THE BIG CONTRADICTION in what you say your God is - compared to what you REQUIRE from your followers.
Most definitely there is something that does not match.
Don't lie to people, please. :-)

Unfortunately in my younger days I practiced Christianity though I’m embarrassed to admit it now so I did way to much for “god” I wasted a lot of time praying for instance to some one who wasn’t there I also wasted a lot of gratitude for things on this myth. Even if I had spent the time wanking it would have been better spent. Those are hours of my life I can never get back a hard lesson for a foolish act.

for Jehovah, Allah, Yahweh, Elohim, the monotheistic god? - very little, an occasional prayer perhaps.

to the other gods? - to much to speak of :)
mayhaps I can bring peace to the world, only that could express my thanks for all they have done (although I don't believe any deity created us)
