What healthy food can increase my body fat percentage?

My body fat is too low. What kind of fat do I need and where can I get it?

The best way to put on body fat healthily, is to eat a balanced diet and include more fats, carbohydrates and sugars in their unrefined, natural state. I recommend the Mederteranean diet. For example you could include olive oil into your diet as a salad dressing. Olive oil is a fat, but is is not full of saturated fat that is very bad for your heart. (Note internal fat is far worse than external fat, you can be slim on the outside but carry alot of dangerous fat internally around your organs) Boiled potatoes are also good for adding weight. Try to learn how to cook for yourself. This way you can make really nice food and be in control of the ingredients. I make really nice farmhouse cake with wholemeal flour, unrefined sugar and unsaturated magarine. This will help you put on weight without putting as much stress on your body, as you might with bought cakes which are full of additives.
If you want to bulk up a bit, eat foods rich in carbohydrates and proteins, but try not to eat to much red meat and try not to fry things (as these are saturated fats). Eating fish, boiled eggs, chicken, cheese etc. is better for you. Pasta, bread and rice are also good sources of carbohydrates but try to make sure you buy whole grain versions of them and not the refined bleached versions, as these can bloat you and sit in your bowels. Although buying the healthy versions of food can seem expensive at first, they actually work out cheaper than ready made meals. If you lead a busy life you may want to make several meals at once and freeze them. Soon you will realise how much healthier you are and how much money you can save this way.
