My husband is addicted to crack. It is the most horrible gut wrentching thing I have ever been through in my life. I have given him money and gotten his things out of the pawnshop too many times and stuck by nin. I love him with all my heart. He recently was in the hospital for a lowerd immune system because of crack. I feel hat you shouldnt give them cash it is a big mistake for sure-I know. Try and be supportive of them and take care of yourself. Remember they have an illness and need help, we can love but must walk away at some point and let them stumble and fall. We can pray and go to church. Or ou can go to Alonon meetings but for me I feel church and prayer work pretty effectively and a suport group of some kind for yourself. My prayers are with you because I am going through this andI understand how you might feel. I am so sorry that you have to endure such pain....May God be with you and your family..............

There comes a time when a person has to walk away. You can try and try to help someone but unless THEY WANT to help themselves and change who they are and what they are doing you're wasting your time, emotions, concern, and effort. They don't appreciate what they see as interference and it might make the problem worse as they are retaliating against those who get involved. Walk away.

Very little. They square up for a minute and then it's back to it. Few people get off crack forever

Slap them and tell them to get back to reality. Nah im just kidding! to denial. slowly imitate what theyre doing . when they ask you what youre doing. tell them youre acting like them. to the crack. be there for them and get them help. not cops or anything, but maybe a crack anonymous or counseling. it could help , but they have to help to.
