Resolved Question

What horror film have you seen which was so rubbish you wish you hadn't bothered?

I thought Jeepers Creepers was one of the worst films ever created. I prefer my horrors to be shocking, thought provoking (more thrillers I suppose) or scary enough for me to need to cover my ears and eyes!

Jeepers Creepers was just sillyness, no real human being would be so daft as to go to a deep pit with some menacing creature around, unless of course it suits an obvious script of a film.

It's a shame because there was a concept there.

27 Dresses. Not nearly as scary as the promos made it out to be.

Blair witch. Boring, beyond belief. And don't say it's all about imagination. If I pay to see horror, I wanna see it, not imagine it. I could do that, sat at home, watching the muppet show. Come to think of it, that would be more scary!

Species was truly terrible.... and of course I made the mistake of going to the midnight showing of it. I was more scared of the shadows in the parking lot than I was of the movie!

Had to be the Blair Witch. Good Lord, what an overrated piece of sh*t that was!

BTW I definitely consider the movies mentioned by ChaosXIII to be comedy rather than horror.

Any Uwe Boll movie (though I haven't seen Postal.)

Underworld - I wanted to like it, but it wasn't that good.

Diary of the Dead. I almost threw up from the camera motion and the movie itself was not good. NotLD was amazing. The social commentary worked in that one, but c'mon George, don't be a one-trick pony.

I agree about Jeepers Creepers, but Hostel takes the cake for me. I'm cool with gore, but in a horror movie I like to at least WANT the main character to survive, instead of thinking he's just a pompous ******* that deserves it.

"In The Woods". It's a film where these guys dig up a very obviously marked gravesite for no real reason, find a wolf skull that looks remarkably like a cow skull, bring it home, and then turn into horribly rubber-suited "werewolves" that look more like a cheap bigfoot with the mange. At one point, one of the "werewolves" rips a woman's arm off. You can actually see the actor in the rubber suit helping the actress to put her arm in her shirt. Bad doesn't begin to cover it.
