People below don't actually understand law and what a "date" actually encompasses.



A 29 year old can engage in a relationship with a 16 year old all they want. A 12 year old if they want (If the community doesn't immediately stone him to death). It's not illegal to fall in love and enjoy the company of someone else. Chatting, food, movies etc.



The issue is if they engage in sexual contact. Which in this case would be legal everywhere in Europe except Ireland (17) and Malta (18).
