American Revolution. Yeah right. Freedom for America and slavery for Africans. It's a hypocrisy and I will continue to express that opinion. Freedom this and freedom that and wanting it, needing it, demanding it, fighting for it and making their slaves fight for it and freedom was won for the American...BUT...for all that talk of freedom they KEPT SLAVES!!!! July 4th is NOT a celebration for everyone and there is NO celebration for June 19 when the emancipation proclamation was signed. So whites getting their freedom from high taxes and British rule is important to their eyes and to the government than the freedom of an entire class of people is not. It's W R O N G!!!! An African was the first person to die for this revolution. The Boston tea party. Slaves were good enough to fight for freedom of this country but had to return to the slave quarters and continue living as they did. HYPOCRISY!!!!! I wish some day there's a person who will write the history of this country and INCLUDE all of the people who made it so and not exclude the other Nationalities that influenced it also. I'll bet you didn't know that an African American invented the toilet or air brakes for buses or the modern day fuse. And one other thing. Ben Franklin didn't go running around in no lightning storm with a kite and a key with his 400 year old self. He had his SLAVE do the running and he took the credit and didn't even mention that the slave did the work. Like that mountain climber who's African American slave reached the top first because he'd gotten frost bite and couldn't do it and after the slave reached the top he came back and got that man and carried him to the top of the mountain. HE was given credit for being the first to reach the top. There is just too much dirty and double dealings for this country to be proud of it's history or it's greedy pale people.
