What is a cheap Halloween costume I can wear this year?

Last year, I was a leaf blower. I wore a hat and taped a leaf to it where it was right in front of my mouth, and I would blow on the leaf. I'm wanting to do something like that again, where I can just use stuff I already have and make it from scratch...so I won't have to buy anything. Yes, I'm a cheapskate, I know :-P But remember I'm also a broke college kid.

A sheet with holes in it. :P Or, go to a vintage/second hand shop and see what you can put together.

you could attach a glove to your wrist, and advise everyone that you're with the invisible man, either that or rock up as a SIMS character

My little sister once went as a tube of tooth paste...

and several guy friends of mine have a tradition of dressing up like a prostitute every year....

Or my mother once dressed up as a giant Baby, all you need is a white sheet and a pacy

Go green. Wear a green t-shirt, dye some old jeans green or dye everything green, add a little green body paint & Voila!

Get a set of long underwear and dye them green. Sew a large block-letter "P" on the back. Use mascara or whatever to draw a black circle around your eye, and go as a "black-eyed pea."

Devil with a blue dress on.

Simple... all you need are some horns and tail and a cute blue dress. =)

Go as a squirrel! Get some stage paint and paint yourself golden brown, wear a pair of black underpants and staple a couple of acorns to the underwear. Caution: do this BEFORE putting them on.. lol.. Grab some leaves off the nearest tree for a hairdo and if you're really into pretend, you can get some old hair at the hairdresser and tape a tail on!

Your birthday suit is really cheap and on hand.
Loin cloths are not that hard to make.
Or you could paint a face on an old ball, put sticks in it and add a new layer to your character.
