as in daiting anniversery, not marriage

Depends on his interests, but I would definately go with what he likes -- for example, tickets to a ball game, gift certificate to a rock climbing center, expensive meal out -- she needs to think in terms of what he loves to do.

Paintballing - it's brilliant!! I'm a pacifist and within ten minutes i thought i was John Rambo/T J Hooker, lol!
Then a nice shower together (perfect excuse - v. muddy). Then cook his favourite meal & give him the remote control! In fact, if money's an issue, the shower, meal and remote'd be enough, lol.
Like Chris Rock says; F**k him, Feed him, then shut the f**k up!! haha that'll cheer most men of any age up! Good luck!

Big mistake.

First off guys care about anniversaries about as much as they care about shopping at Bed Bath & Beyond.

Secondly, guys often interpret such gestures as a calculated attempted to pressure them into making a more serious comittment.

I gave my husband a watch he had been looking at for some time but wouldnt buy himself and his favorite cologne and a shirt for our anniversary when we were dating.
