    Hmmn when I pinch my upper arm sometimes I feel it in my back...I wonder if it's connected?

    It is called referred pain or reflective pain....where the actual felt pain is at a point away from the stimuli causing the injury. There are several theories as to why this happens.....I like the theory of Convergent-projection.
