What is it like to fall in love?

i figure there are as many ways to fall in love as there are people - more even, because there is more than one kind of love to fall into, and we do it more than once, and each time it is different. so i want to know, what has it been like for you?

At first it makes your heart go crazy and all you want is more of that person. To know more, to hang out with more, to talk more and to see more. You can't get that person out of your head. Its not an obsession, but whatever you do and where ever you go the thought of them is always with you. When your in a rough time or just overall sad, the thoughts keep you grounded in realization that it will be ok as long as your with that person. And when you are with eachother its really comforting and its like nothing else matters. You miss them after being gone for short periods of time and there's times your desperate to see them.

There's so much more and alot of it is difficult to put into words. But it really is just overall amazing.

It's a rollercoaster ride... like all of the emotions you have are just jumbled: anxiety, eager anticipation, insecurity, hope, lightness and darkness are all intertwined. The thought of that person can bring a huge smile to your face in the darndest of places and times. Your heart skips a beat remembering the most inane of things: any little exchange can lead to a reverie later...

Your energy level increases, your focus sharpens on that person, and yet the simplest tasks can become hard to complete.

It is *amazing.*

I would imagine its comparable to slipping on a banana peel and falling down four flights of stairs.

love has no limits or boundaries. love knows only patience & understanding. love grows. love is an ability. love is a choice. love is irrational. love is fun. love is sexy. love is beautiful. love is kind. love forgives. love is unconditional. love is honorable. love is truth. love is joy. love is peace. love has no time. love sometimes just is. love is the greatest thing to ever experience, do, have, be, desire or choose.

there are a few things people have confused with love because they exist within the context of a relationship but i can attest it is NOT love. these things are stuff like pain. love is not pain. love is not fear. love is not apathy. love is not violence. love is not selfishness. love is not mean. love is not deceptive. love is not jealous. love is not possessive. love is not compulsive. love is not blind...because if you see the truth...then you know what love is.

Becoming emotionally attached to someone is painful, demanding, often demeaning, and you lose yourself trying to keep the other person. Lessons learned: Don't ever give anyone control or power over you.

Never felt so good in my life. To finally have found love and for that love to have found me. To flood through my body, my very soul, and fill it with such warmth. A brightness that gives my smile the sincerest shine. A warmth that heals every wound of my heart. A passion that ignites my deepest flame. A soul that touches and connects so deep and intimately, it feels that this person has always been with me. As if the fates had deemed it.

...losing that however and having it turn in to heartbreak, felt just as intense.

If you fall into something.......it may hurt. However there isn't anything in the entire universe as the feeling you get when you see her (or his) smiling face across a room as they approach you for a hug.
It is also a warm fuzzy feeling....

It may be happening to me right now as I speak. It feels wonderful. When apart I miss his touch, his physicalness, the sound of his voice, the special feeling I have in his presence.

When together we gaze into each other's eye's constantly. we can't keep our hands off of each other. I hang on every word he utters. I want to know all about him. He takes my breathe away just to look at him. I want him to be happy. He wants to please me in everyway. We can't compliment each other enough.

Then there's the scary part: the what if's. What if it doesn't work, what if he breaks my heart, what if he meets someone else, what if he changes his mind about me?????? etc.

But I can't dwell on the what if's. I can only take it one day at a time and keep my eye open and feeet on the ground to be sure he is good for me and treating me well despite the romance. I have to trust that if it is meant to be it will everything will fall into place.

I think it is better than drugs, a feeling so amazing! Nothing can harm you, you are invincible - cause someone loves you! Nothing better.

It's when you find that person that you want to be with all the time to do things with and sit and talk and talk and talk. It's that first moment after you have been in labor for hours and hours of pain and you look on that tiny face that has been living in your body for 9 months. It's those moments when you begin to get older and you look upon that person you wanted to be with(1st line) while they don't know you are looking and you wonder to yourself as you gaze upon that greying head, what will I do without him. It's when after 2yrs have past and the angel of death took your loved one away and you still at times see or hear a reminder of them and you cry because you miss them still. All these things are what it's like to fall in love, be in love and stay in love.

every moment, a million magnificent thoughts going through my mind all at once, eternal laughter, and the
desire for all of this to continue forever!

You know you have fallen in love when you cannot wait until you see or hear from that person again. The sight of them makes your heart smile. There is joy when they are by your side and their touch makes you feel complete. The sound of their voice or a message from them makes your day seem brighter.

It's good to fall in love but once your love is gone, your life is broken.

They say it takes a minute to find a person
an hour to adore them
a day to love them
but an entire life to forget them :) ~ :(
