Caring about another more than you do yourself. Realizing you can't imagine
them not being in your life. Wanting them to be happy, even it that means letting go.Like (1)

Love is something that cannot be defined, and possibly no two people feel it or interpret it the same way.. but you know you love someone, when they make you feel a certain way. E.g You would want to do things for them out of your norm or way, they make you feel better just by being around you, you miss them when they are not with you and they occupy your mind a lot. Your decisions begin to factor them in somehow. It is being able to accept someone inspite of their faults, and wanting to be their support no matter what. I do not think love is unconditional, it has to be reciprocal and nurtured for it to grow.

Realizing you could spend the rest of your life looking at and talking to one and only one person and being perfectly happy with that thought.
Knowing all of their failures and flaws and trusting them all the more.Like (1)
