it's probably a relative term. when you think you've heard the worst, you just hear something even worse.
like an obese lush who fell down the basement stairs and landed on the family dog, killing it.

Loosing your license, jail time, seizures, borderling diabetic, loosing relationships, choosing to drink over living, becoming a loner, missing appointment, not knowing the difference between truth and manipulation and not knowing when you are doing which one, not eating just drinking, self loathing, saying **** it to everyone and everything...The more rock bottom, the longer the list.

My sister is an alcoholic. Everyone has tried to help her for years to stop drinking until she passed out. She called me a couple weeks back to tell me she had not drank in a couple of months because she was just tired of always wanting it. That is how it was for me with Meth. Until I just didn't want it anymore, I continued. Then I stopped.

These are generic and trite terms. I have been clean for three years and I guess I can't even not use them. I just did not on intentionally. 12 step group are antiquated and are not even maintenance anymore. In as much help they give they, the cost of them commingling has had much worse results.
