Cheese and ketchup. Anything else is optional, but it's gotta have those.

Um... I can't think of anything I wouldn't put on a burger. Mine tend to be ridiculous wobbling stacks of toppings.

Oh, wait -- chips and onion rings. Those go on the SIDE. Always.

Best Answer

I vary. Sometimes I make them like you said, a stack of toppings. And other times, I have ketchup and pickle only. And sometimes I eat the pickles on the side - if they're whole pickles.

Best Answer

Well done french fries lined in parallel to absorb the ketchup.

A cool slice of tomato on a burger fresh from the fire makes no sense.

Best Answer

Cool vegetables on a hot burger give you that nice twist - kind of the way sweet and sour does.

Best Answer

To each his own, indeed. Bet you put mustard on your fries.

Best Answer

Nope. Ketchup. But I have eaten fries with ranch dressing and I have had them with barbecue sauce.

Best Answer

I need meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Bacon optional. Onions are wonderful.

Not a fan of pickles and pleeeasssseee no pineapple!

Best Answer

I've never heard of pineapple on a burger - on pizza, yes.

Best Answer

Noooooo TOMATOES ewwwww! Anything else is okay really besides i'm not a fan of HAMburgers i prefer CHICKENburgers"

Best Answer

The tomatoes they put on burgers aren't very good. And winter tomatoes aren't very good. But man, a homegrown one is hard to beat for taste.

Best Answer

Note that my question says "burger," not hamburger.

Best Answer

Is that a stankadiddlehopper quarter-pounder, or a stankadiddlehopper whopper?

I like lots of lettuce, tomato, and pickles.

Don't like mustard.

Best Answer

It's a homemade burger. So much better than fast food.

Best Answer

lots of pickles and onions. I can live without the top bun

Best Answer

An open faced burger?

Best Answer

Pickles? Blech..not for the burgers.

Burgers need nothing, we must regale in the meaty juices bursting into our mouth as we take a chunk out of a rarely cooked burger..do not dilute the flavor -.-

Best Answer

I'm that way with steak. No A-1 or any of that. Let me savor the flavor.

Best Answer

I am that way with steak as well. I am a meat purist

Best Answer

Can't beat a bit of black pepper on a steak (but then, I put pepper on everything). But doesn't need anything else.

Best Answer

Widow spider venom. No onion.

Best Answer

I've heard that brown recluse venom is tastier.

Best Answer

The widow spider looks nicer. I don't like beef from ugly cows either.

Best Answer

What about cheese from happy cows?

Best Answer

I like cat cheese

Best Answer

Who milks them?

If I have a burger at home and happen to have regular potato chips, they go on the burger.

Best Answer

Must have tomato and I don't want beetroot.

Best Answer

Until this question, I've never heard of beetroot and I've never heard of putting beets on a burger. What country is this popular in?

Best Answer

Australia. Are you saying I can avoid this if I move country? I gotta go pack...

Best Answer

In America, we eat beets but not on burgers.

Best Answer

How do you have them? Most commonly bought in a tin here, either slices or whole baby beets.

Best Answer

They sell them that way here too. And people grow them. I think they just put a slice on their plate, to eat as they go. I don't like them, so I'm not sure.

Best Answer

Pretty much the same here, off the plate with other salad stuff. If you order a works burger here, it comes with beetroot on, and bacon, egg, pineapple, cheese, tomato, lettuce, onion,BBQ sauce and the beef patty. If there's anything else I can't remember.

Best Answer

Beets and pineapple don't come on them here. I would bet there are few burger fast food places that even stock those two.

Best Answer

Oh God, I was wondering about beets but couldn't remeber if that's really a thing people do or if it was just a nightmare I had. Yeah, none of them. On anything.

Best Answer

Awesome! I promise u like it but crispy bacon on top the grilled pineapple really make it good!!! I do that on grilled chicken sandwich too!

What I do with bacon is put the beef patty on my George Foreman grill, then put raw bacon on top of it, let them both cook at the same time.

Bun and I do not put mustard on it

Best Answer

Technically, to be a burger, it has to have a bun, doesn't it?

Best Answer

That is why I said bun,What does it need to have.
