What is the average amount of god(s) and/or goddess(es) Wiccans tend to work with (or follow)?

I am still searching for the Deities I will follow throughout my Wiccan journey, and I was curious as to the average amount most Wiccans tend to follow themselves?

Is This A Good Question? (2)

Wiccans adopt identities of their deities from the various mythos that litter the history of the human race, with the perception that each of these are various aspects or incarnations of the same forces. Thus, the tradition that fits best to you (be it Norse, Greek, Amerind, Celtic, etc) tends to be the foundation of which aspect you will adopt, and then, depending upon the circumstances and the focus of the magick you work, which gods you invoke.

It depends on which type of Wicca you are doing and which type of gods and goddesses you want to work with. I am not really a Wiccan but I have read lots of books on the subject and the Celtic and Norse gods and goddesses interest me the most. You would normally work with one or two deities at a time. You would evoke the ones that are specific to the magick you are working. Different deities for different types of spells. Like classical mythology.

Do you happen to know at least some of the different types of magick? I have no access to these types of books and finding it online is proving challenging

You can use candle magick, crystal magic, nature magick and herbal magick. you can write your own spells as ling as you do them with reverence and sincerity and have some sort of ritual. Scott Cunningham has written a few good books for solitary practitioners and he seems to favor the green witch style of Wicca.

I thought like 2 right? Cause don't they believe that God has a male and female version? It's been a little while since I last read about Wicca..

Well since Wicca is a pagan religion, pagans tend to work with many, but the many in Wicca is not specified :/

You don't have to worship any gods in Wicca, it's optional really. But if you are really that interested I would advise you contact actual wiccans, it's an interesting religion.
