Dehydration is the main cause so drink plenty of fluids. Alcohol depletes vitamin and mineral stores so take an efervescent vitamin supplement. Vitamin C is only stored for 8 hours so top up at least twice a day. It's a good pick me up any time, not just for a hangover.
