    Not really a self help book, but it's simple and potentially life changing. "The Four Agreements" by Don Miguel Ruiz. Toltec wisdom.

    A pretty good one is The Road less Traveled by M. Scott Peck, although even he admits he wrote it and was a bit too sure about everything he wrote, that he b/c less arrogant down the road. Still I think he writes very fine books. A fascinating book he wrote was People of the Lie about human evil drawing from his personal case studies. Good luck finding your book!
