if you're sore from lifting the pain is musculature and some advil and a warm shower should help. You also have to give your body time....as you lift weights/exercise the muscle tissue actually breaks down and rebuilds itself so being sore is expected.

I used to get runner's cramps really easily, then I started doing core exercise regularly and that helped. I don't know for you though, what kind of pain is it and where exactly?

I guess since i started working lifting thing has got the upper part of my body sore, and meds isnt helping..
