If you smoke, quit. If you drink a lot, cut back. Then follow all this other great advice. Good luck!

Yikes! Its the dreaded winter skin. Drink plenty of water. Do not take hot showers! I know, they feel so good but they're sooooo bad for sensitive skin. Never use soap on your face, especially in winter. Use a cream cleanser like Cetaphil. And put on your facial moisturizer immediately after you shower, this way the moisture is locked in. Eat healthy, get plenty of exercise and sleep and then relax. You've done all you can.

Drink loads of water. It might also be worth seeing the doctor, a workmate had the same kind of problem and it turned out to be an allergy. Try using a moisturiser for dry skin but go for something which is unperfumed because your skin is probably sensitive. Colds, depression, stress; they can all have an effect on your skin.

Don't get too down about it, remember that most of us are over critical about our appearance and notice things that others don't.

There is an Australian product called MooGoo made with lanolin and natural products that is very very good especially if you suffer from itchy skin and scaling.

Moisturize moisturize moisturize! & I agree with lil Annie, Drink plenty of water.)

I live in a ultra dry climate and have had to resort to some serious measures to keep looking youthful. I have found the Mary Kay Moisture Mask to be a very vital step in the process.. put it on and leave it on all night, and if you are still feeling dry put it on in the morning as well, under your make up if you wear it. Also if you run into some really cold and dry weather, and find yourself peeling despite the mask, vitamin A+D ointment, Zinc oxoide ointment, and vitamin E oil all work wonders when used as a mask over night.

the tap water has heaps of chemicals in it that dry our skin...thats why we go scaley....moisturise after a shower and when you wash your hands
drink lots of water with lemon juice and use sorbolene with vitamin E moisturiser...
you may also be allergic to some type of food you are eating that makes your skin itchy

The best thing you can do for your skin (IF you can afford it) is meet with a skin care consultant, and let them advise you on what would work best for your skin type. If that is out of your price range (or even if it isn't), follow the basics to maintaining good-looking skin: healthy diet, plenty of water, moisturizers and definitely an eye cream.

I just started using a skin cream called Queen Bee for a Day by a company called BeeCeuticals and it's amazingly moisturizing and it really, really makes my dull skin brighten and look kinda dewey. It's not too pricey, either. About 25 bucks with shipping and it really goes a long way...lasts about two months.

I am 41 and I am told that I look 30.

I practice the same ritual everyday and night. I never miss washing my face, I moisturize constantly and I avoid sun. When I am in the sun, I use a very high spf.

I use the proactive system, it is not only for pimples. It really cleans the skin to remove dead skin cells, which will age you, and clears the pores. I think the biggest thing you can do is to moisturize. Use a good product. The best I have found are the proactive moisturizers and I use extremely dramactic by Clinique. I also use a mineral water spray that can be spritzed right over your make-up, I usually spray it on my face at least 2-3 times per day. This is also made by clinique.

I hoped I helped, it may sound like a lot, but it's worth it.

You didn't say what kind of skin you have. If it's dry, moisturize with a good moisturizer like Aveeno. If you have oily skin only use an oil free moisturizer such as a clinique one. You MUST exfoliate. Try Estee Lauder, micro exfoliator. It's expersive but leaves your skin smooth. If you can afford it, get regular facials. Use sunscreen and eat healthy.
For the wrinkles use a retin A product that your dernatologist can prescribe. Start now and you will not regret good skin care habits.

If I could get every sixteen year to listen to me- or anyone at any age for that matter- cause it doesn't matter when you start:

Clinque 3 step skin care. This is not an advertisment- this stuff works! I have been using it since my twenties and people still think I look like I am in my twenties because of the glow it brings to your skin. It is well worth the price (and even if you can just afford the 12 dollar soap- just do that- but the moisturizor is amazing of course). It really was this that transformed my skin.

I started washing my face with Black Mud Soap. When you are done it makes you face feel squeaky clean, just like when you were a kid and got out of the bath! It also has minerals or something organic in it that make the ph of your face the way it should be ( you probably can tell, i am a scientist, not!0
