What is the best time that I should get my special needs daughter up for school

Afternoon to all school starts tomorrow all 2 weeks early my daughter is 19 and she is going to the other high school her and some of her classmates got I guess selected to be in the life skills program my nerves are not good her one on one aide will be with her thank God.

Her bus is to be here by 7:52 and they said to be ready by 7:30 because things are crazy for some first week of school now I said 5:50 but even though she can be slow sometimes more then others I only need 45 minutes so what is a good time oh her bus driver you best be outside because this woman to me is not going to stand and wait I see now do I have to talk to you.

I think it depends on your daughter. My special needs son can usually roll right out of bed and be ready in no time (except for the days when he is tired or grumpy and then it takes forever)

Hi justbob45 so it seems that your son can get ready by himself well with my daughter I need to help her mind you I got to start going back to bed after she leaves because my mornings are all work for me. I need that nap so I can get her bath or good wash up done of afternoons except when she has seizures which have increased to sometimes 3 boy what a tiresome afternoon and the thought of me getting up say by 6 again 2 days will be school and other 3 daysupport. So I need to get myself together better for school and day support days which she started last January until June first winter@spring and then June 6th to last week summer so now 9 long month they get out in May first time going back in 2 weeks if you have any other advice please share with me thanks again

No. I did not mean that he gets himself ready. Just that he is cooperative with being washed and dressed and having some breakfast. But it sounds to me like you may need to start early - aim to have her ready a half hour before she needs to be and then let her draw (my son's favorite passtime) or whatever to fill in the time on good days when the extra time isn't needed. I hope school goes smoothly for her - and for you!
