Turning the other cheek isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength; being able to keep yourself together and not even bothering with the other person because they aren't even worth it. lickitysplit	Posted Oct 19th, 2009 at 3:19PM Revenge is an immature response to immature behavior. Revenge generally leads nowhere good and frequently backfires awfully. Revenge also has a bad habit of escalating until one or the other does something illegal and ends up in jail. Many wars are the direct result of revenge on a national or cultural level. WW-II is a great example. Taking their revenge over Germany and Austria's acts in WW-I, the French and their allies decided to take revenge on Germany. The Treaty of Versaille was so onerous to Germany that the German people suffered terribly until Adolf Hitler rose to power on the strength of Germany's desire for revenge against France and her allies. This led to WW-II. In a very simplified way, the attack on the United States by Al Qaida is just another event in a chain of revenge that goes back about 1000 years. Forget the revenge, get on with your life and ignore the stupid little twit who insulted you or treated you badly. If he or she does it again, then knock the stuffing out of her and then walk away.
