    The celebration of the Christ child, hands down bar none. His birth gave all a way to return to the glory from which we came. It's the reason for the season.

    Neither. In Russia biggest holiday is New Year. Though biggest celebration is probably during Victory Day.

    Thanksgiving is merely the precursor to the Christmas season.

    we don't even have TG so Christmas is the best and it is so long too as it starts in December with Advent

    Most definitely Christmas. Celebrating Christ's birth gives us a far better reason for Thanksgiving.
