I worked at UDF and the freezer room ice cream is stored in before it is in the dipper abr or the cases for purchasing is so cold...your nose moisture freezes in your nose and you have to wear gloves or your fingers stick, and breathing is harder.

winter in chicago 1980, in january, below zero all month, a week of 15-20 below. I moved to California and lived in Hermosa Beach. Then the earthquakes hit and the volcanoes rumbled and the fires began smoking. I left as they were beating the heck out of Rodney King.

Back in the mid 80s someone put me in a room and had me wait there for 10 minutes. I got so warm I had to take off my blouse. When I asked what the temperature was they said, "absolute zero." So absolute zero is my answer. As I understand it, it's much colder than your mild -20.

-14f, I'm not sure how long ago it was, but I think it was between 3-5 years ago. Luckily, I was in the house at the time, but it was still freezing, even with the heat on.

-14 back when I lived in Denver Co. The high for the day was 1 degree. I sat in my car that day and cried. Vowed to move to a warmer climate.
