Actually, I've done both ...
I started with various affairs which later turned into being paid for the favors . . and I was as they say in the medical profession "on call." These were usually very nice older men who need sex but more often companionship . . .
High class call girls usually work for an escort service ... Hookers use a pimp . .
I had a brief period as a hooker by night, and mother/housewife during the day - haunting convention hotels dressed in a business suit with a somewhat tight short skirt carrying a briefcase -- worked very well -- all you have to do is ride the elevator up and down and you get lots of offers . . .
