    I guess a flip-flop is one who can't make up their mind, while the other is open to reason or opinions...something like that.

    hmmmm....open minded you don't have a different opinion of someone based on their beliefs. Flip flop...you believe what they believe but change your mind accordingly. That's how I see it!
