Maybe Maori is an easy language to learn it only has 10 consonants and 5 vowels.
I have also heard that Indonesian is pretty easy. Hardly any grammar rules. I am learning Turkish and Arabic. Arabic is quite difficult Turkish is much easier than Arabic and Turkish is a logical language with lots of prefixes and suffixes. I speak fluent German but it is also quite a difficult language to learn because of it's complex grammar rules and genders. French I took at school for 6 years but can't remember much at all except that for English speaking people it is almost impossible to pronounce like a native French person. Spanish is also not too difficult but I have never learned it. And Italian has many words the same as in English..

Depends on your region. For English speakers, its Spanish, for french, its english, for Spanish, its English, For any eastern country its English (switching kanji systems is difficult, its best to just go to a completely different derivative line) I dont get involved with european languages so, no idea there. So all in all, it English

Karch....English speakers best bet for ease...in my opinion, is German. High German is somewhat edgy, but conversationally, it amounts to no more than building a vocabulary

Well, its more or less a manner of chosing derivatives. English, spanish, french, and german all come from latin. German is more sedentary and has less variations. With english it varies from region to region. German is easier for use, but still slightly harder than english. english is easier, however you have to stay in one region for a while to completely get the gist of it. If you move to another english speaking country, youll be screwed.

Esperanto--I'm only guessing, but it was designed as an artificial language with totally standard grammar rules, pronunciation, spelling, etc.

LOL No, but for decades I've read harry Harrison's comic "Stainless Steel Rat" science fiction stories and Esperanto plays a big part in those, so I've looked it up at times. Sounds like a good idea to me.

In Papua New Guinea. I learnt to speak it okay in 3 months when I was there without studying it.
