What is the greatest sacrifice you've ever made for someone? Would they have done the same for you?

When I make a huge sacrifice I do it because I want to. Never thought about whether the other person would match me on it.....

I guess it would be sacrificing my goals to be there for my kids. I really don't know if they would do it for me. At this point I don't feel like I am cared about by much of anyone. I know that my mother did it for me.

I have given up happiness to stay and care for someone else whom I care about so much but not much of a life anymore...So I have sacrificed myself and I know I would do all over again if I had to. Would he do it for me probably not but thats okay to

I packed up all my belongings and moved across the US to make someone happy... and no they even said they wouldn't have done the same for me.

What I sacrificed and for whom, is between myself and them. I would not recommend it though, unless you are strong enough to endure the consequences of your actions. Holding yourself accountable for the sake of another is not selfless, it is self destructive and does nothing for preparing the one you are shielding from life's harsh realities. If you have surmised by now, I regret what I did, and especially how it affected me ( and them ).
