All those Main Streets, High Streets and even (in at least one case) just "The Street"s. Then there's various places called "Rocky Point", cos it's a point and it's... um.... rocky.
A more geeky one is CERN's LHC. That doesn't sound so bad until you realise it stands for "Large Hadron Collider". Cos it's big and it's for smashing hadrons together. *golf clap* You couldn't have called it The Cosmic Doughnut" or something?
