    Never, we don't pay taxes on owning a house.

    A neighbor didn't pay for over 10 years and when they finally got an eviction or foreclosure on him, the place burned to the ground. Damnest thing. Think he's living in Florida now. Nice guy too.

    Municipal taxes? I suppose you could get away with it for 2-3 years...

    what if the house was passed down to you and the previous owner hadn't paid taxes for years.? what happens?
