As a young teenager i overheard my Mother discuss not liking me with a woman described to us as an adopted Grandmother. When I confronted them they denied it but I knew what I heard. i was struck by how mean they were and how crappy to deny it and make out I had imagined it. Made me think their opinion was worthless so did me a favor but was mean of them even so. I thought this especially of the "adopted" one who i always treated well.

Truth. Oddly though - the first one hurt the most!?

(my name inserted here) is so ugly. she will never get a prosperous man to marry her, even if is arranged. that was my own grandmother. :(

Several of my friends on different occasions who were unaware of each other would tell me I'm a burden.

I can't remember...I *think* perhaps...
"you're weird! tell me how you got to that?!? what was you're thought process?!"

After my parents divorced my mother would often scream at me that I was a stupid pig head just like my father.

"Your whole family enjoys playing life on the easy setting."

Sounds odd but it hurt a lot.

Oh my God. Now that I'm thinking about it, there were tons of mean people in my life that said hurtful things to me. No wonder why have anxiety and insecurity issues. I had a difficult childhood getting picked on because of my weight and my parents lack of money. People can be so hurtful, especially young kids

My wife said this to me in the Fall of 1969 when I discovered she was having an affair with my best friend.

When I told my husband that if he was serious about never wanting to have any sort of intimacy with me, not even sex, but hold me or kiss me like he meant it, then I was going to look for it elsewhere....

He said what are you going to do... go join the hookers downtown (where the drugged up, worn out $10 hookers can be found)...

...and this was after telling me that $10 a pill for viagra was "too expensive"... I guess he didn't think I was worth even $10

That was the moment when I stopped loving him... the final blow after many years of small cruelties.

The meanest thing I have been told twice. That was that I use my leg as an exsuse for things. ( I have a disability and even my own doctor told me i would never be able to work a typical job, which i tried doing and found out he was right, i am limited but still do as much as I can.) Two of my " friends" said that to me. It sunds small but when you are already in a depression, over the thing that changed your life over night basically it really freaking hurts.
