Took my moms car for a joy ride with a friend at 2 a.m. when everyone was asleep. I'd never driven a car before at 14 but my friend thought it'd be fun. When we came back I hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, skidded across the lawn and almost crashed into the front of our house. Quite the adrenalin rush but I sure as hell never did that again! My friends and I also used to 'hop buses'. We'd stand on the back bumper and hold onto the lip of the advertisement frame at 30 mph. Not safe but fun! Another fun MN recreational WINTER activity was to 'hop cars' when the roads were packed with ice and snow. At a stop sign we'd grab the back bumper of an unsuspecting car and go for a ride sliding our feet on the road. Ah ... the good ol' days!

Thanx for BA Speed61! With hopping cars, if they realized we were hanging on to their bumper they'd sometimes get out and chase us away but we never got into trouble. With modern cars there's not much to grab onto and if you did there's so much plastic that you could probably tear the bumper covering right off of the car.

Did it in a dressing room at a department store with people around Yes we were told to leave immediately and finished in the car! OMG =)
