I watched someone I love struggle with this and it is NOT fun. Your lack of feeling secure comes from more then your weight. You are using bulimia as a way to cover up your pains, insecurities or whatever is bothering you. Instead of puking to try and rid yourself of your troubles and pains... work on healing them instead. I know you are a smart person who is fully aware of the SERIOUS side effects and long term consequences of bulimia on your body and over all health. There are horrific side effects that can cause long term damage.. some which is not repairable!! Please.. talk to a counselor and seek help to heal your insecurities and what is truly bothering you. Bulimia will NOT do that!!

As for your question, we eat in order to continue living our crappy lives...Flavor is also a factor, I love being able to sit down to a delicious meal after having a bad day--it helps me feel better.
I hope you arent being serious with your statement... "worked wonders for my sister" comment.
