I was making a point by posing questions along the same lines. if you can't answer those questions, the answer is: because we want to. We can and we do. that's the way of it.

Uh, yeah... because **** You that's why. It is my right, as outlined rather clearly in the Constitution to own one. Besides, the express intent by the founding fathers of instituting the second amendment was to allow citizens the ability to protect themselves against rampant out of control government. Anyways, who are you to define what makes me feel safe?

The Bill of Rights said you are allowed to defend yourself, and if you need an automatic weapon to defend yourself then perhaps you should consider moving to a safer location.

Any society should have all the privileges that it's Government has. Their public servants not our parents.

Full automatic and select fire weapons are already illegal.

For semiautomatic weapons, target shooting is fun and a recognized sport.

Because when seconds count the police will be there in minuets!

If your trying to make a point about mass killings a car bomb holds the record there. Or even more effective is piloting a large plane full of aviation fuel into a tall building. so I guess we should outlaw fertilizer, cars and airplanes.

Guns are not the problem, people are the problem.

So I am guessing you are a big believer in the NRA's saying "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Well I will say this. Guns do not usually kill people on their own, but they sure as hell enable people.

So do bombs , knives , baseball bats, rocks and a whole slew of other things. The next time you are faced with a criminal intent on doing you bodily harm stop him with your cell phone, just have them stand by while you dial 911.

    ...Full-auto weapons aren't legal.
    ...But I like weapons.
If I had more disposable income, I would have a collection of guns, swords, knives, crossbows...a ballista...A trebuchet, assegai, a bill, a pike...etc
I just geek out on stuff like that.
