Can it truely; really, be defined? Love in its infinit form is completely way out the bounderies of human apprehension. So very unfortunate cos the world needs it ever so badly.

Yep, I have to give Joe the vote on this one. In the attachment phase, the text is pretty dead on, as post relationship, the list is what keeps people together.

Good answer Joe

Love is beyond definition and that is why so many who spend lifetimes trying to define it - never fall in love because they are too busy trying to diagnose the 'disease'. Love just is - it works by its own laws and makes its own playbook - henceforth the term 'all's fair in love and war'.

I agree with JoeDGhetto, although I will add it should be unconditional as well. You wish to ensure each others happiness, it should be monogamous, and there is nothing held back. Sharing everything, hopes, dreams plans for the future, working alongside each other to realize those goals.

Pure love is unconditional, non-judgmental, without end and shown through actions not with words.......

Pure love is not what is typically thought of as romantic love...

Characteristics of real love:

If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Love never fails....And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:1-8a and 13

Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
John 15:13

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.
John 4:18

Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth
John 3:18
