Watching my mother take her final breath after being taken off of life support.........still 'watch' it over every night when I close my eyes.

nothing really haunts me anymore. Things don't scare me anymore either. I've seen some interesting things in my life time and just decided to accept them as they are and not let it affect me afterwards. **** happens. life goes on.

When I was 8 years old, my dad flipped out one night. He chased my mom, my sister, and me out of the house with a kitchen knife. It was just like a horror movie. We ran to my mom's car when she realized she left her keys in the house. She told me to grab my younger sister's wrist, and if my dad came out of the house and she didn't, I was supposed to run with my sister into the darkness to get away from him. Luckily, my mom came out with her keys, and we left. However, I still get goosebumps whenever I recall it.

There were other incidents with my dad that were pretty scary, but that was the worst. He actually had another episode that (after hearing the whole story) was worse than this, but I was so young that I only remember a little bit of it.Like (1)

When I was around 14 some friends of mine and I found a house in the middle of the woods. The house was super old and abandoned. We walked in and was just being nosy. The house was so old that I think it was abandoned back in the 1800's. Anyways, we got to the living room and this dark figure appeared before us and yelled, it sounded like a demon.. It said "GET OOOUUUUUT!!!!!" I almost crapped my pants. We ran so fast and never looked back again. TRUE STORY

My childhood. Mommy dearest wasn't very kind sometimes.
Short of that, the 4/27/11 tornado in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. A half mile tornado came through town, destroying everything in its path, killing 43 people and injuring over 1,000. I was on a delivery (because apparently, when a tornado warning occurs, people's first thought is to order pizza), lucky, 15 blocks north of ground zero. It had apparently been heading straight for my destination. I never was afraid for myself, but I was terrified that some of my friends may have been killed. Nobody knew what was going on, couldn't get ahold of anybody, another tornado coming? I was very fortunate, all my friends made it ok, but many I knew weren't so lucky, friends and relatives hurt or killed, families homeless in an instant. Most of the path was in my delivery area. People died in places I'd been mere hours before. My best friend's trailer park was a few blocks from being leveled. I'll never forget that day. Parts of town still look as if it happened yesterday.
