The Sci-Fi and Fantasy writer, Orson Scot Card, wrote a series of novels about a character called Alvin Maker. In it, there is another character, Miss Peggy, who is a "torch" and can see into anyone's "heartfire" at will. When looking she can see their life force, what kind of person they are, and what they hold secret. She handles her knowledge with amazing wisdom and grace.
So to me the term "heartfire" means a combination of heart-mind or psyche, and living sentient being. My change of the spelling is just to make it my own.

Mine is because I'm in the middle in everything in life. I'm the middle child, I'm usually at the center of some kind of chaos, I'm never at one extreme, and I tend to be the mediator when people are arguing.
