It is pointless to try to understand the every detail of the universe by yourself. There are too many areas of research for any one person to comprehend in the amount of time you spend here. Focus on the part of the universe that has a real impact on your life, and master it. When you try to understand the rest of the universe, you will start to lose focus on what should really matter to you.

Start with being truthful to yourself, and then work your way out from there. Once you understand all your faults, temptations, and fears, you can learn to control them. Once you you learn to control them, then you will be in full control of your actions. You just keep expanding your circle of influence in that way. Obviously things will happen that are out of your control, but you learn to anticipate them so they don't have much affect on you.
