How much older do you have to be to be considered a Cougar?
Maybe it's that younger guys have figured out that older women are more sexually experienced, uninhibited, don't play hard to get, more comfortable with their bodies, don't take themselves too seriously, and aren't looking for a relationship with some kid...just sex. And, we look a whole lot better than our mother's did at our age.Like (4)

First off, it's not up to you to judge. You have NO IDEA why people do what they do. Second off all, I think television has a HUGE influence. Remember the show "CougarTown" with Courtney Cox? That has a great impact. But to say that the guys are looking for mommies and the gals are looking for youth is just flat absurd. Some folks just swing that way.
For the record, my husband is 5 yrs. older than me. Does that mean I wanted a daddy figure? NO. I've always been attracted to older men. It's just the way it is.Like (3)

Love to know at what age one becomes a "cougar". And also, why is it that when a woman over the age of 20 talks to a man, he sometimes automatically assumes that she's after his body. Ain't necessarily so. (Look at all the women who are into married men and they ain't cougars)

You are, of course, entitled to your own opinions. Not sure if you're a man or a woman. What I can tell you is that at my grand age of 58, people are still attracted to me and women of 25 (yes 25!!) still watch what I'm wearing and how I behave. So beware of the "cougar" - some of us still have our sex appeal (:o).Like (1)

The sad thing is, I never knew what this word meant until about 10 years ago when in my 40's! Sheesh, huh?
However, If one were to be considered a "cougar" to me today....I'm sure she's retired and isn't that just my luck, huh?

Feminism has convinced women that they are entitled to have sex when the want it. In their 20s, this is true much of the time, but when the clock moves toward 40, it gets much harder. Feminism, to the contrary, says to women at around 40, 'you are not in your sexual prime'. Really? While it is true that many (divorced or otherwise unattached) women at that age are horny, being horny is hardly the same thing as 'prime'. Another reality is that there are less and less men--one way or another--as women age, so men are more and more in demand with age.
I find women acting like Cougars to be pathetic because it's so obvious that they are desperate. Some even give themselves permission--usually fueled by alcohol--to just grab men, which I find disgusting.
I can understand being interested in younger men/women, but that's no excuse for acting like a horny old fool (men or women).
